About Sam Nichols

Guernsey born, Samantha began her musical training at the age of 11 with the School’s Music Service. She studied Clarinet, Saxophone and Singing for 6 years before deciding to undertake further studies in the UK. She went on to complete an Honours degree in Music, specialising in performance and Composition at Huddersfield University.

After completing her degree, she moved to London to continue her training and career, where she stayed for eleven years. As a member of the BBC Symphony Chorus, she worked with some of the world’s most respected composers and conductors and has been lucky enough to perform alongside a wealth of celebrated singers, musicians and comedians. She regularly performed at the BBC Proms and completed numerous tours and recordings with the choir around the globe. She has performed at some of the world’s top venues, including the Royal Festival Hall, St Paul’s Cathedral & the Royal Albert Hall.

In late 2016, Sam returned to Guernsey and since then has been in demand both as a performer and tutor. As well as being an active solo artist, she sings and plays with 50s Rock ‘n Roll band “Matt Bonneville & The Cage Shakers” and in various duos and function bands. She also sings with the Guernsey Chamber Choir and The Accidentals. Sam’s aim is to teach children and adults to get to know and love their individual voices and develop their technique and knowledge in a safe and fun way.
